Change on board the medical car this weekend in Istanbul. The FIA has indeed confirmed that Dr Ian Roberts and his sidekick Alan van der Merwe had tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix (8-10).

The rescue coordinator and medical delegate, and the official driver of the medical car, have placed themselves in isolation and will not participate in the 16th round of the world championship of Formula 1 2021.

To replace them on the banks of the Bosphorus, the FIA called on Bruno Correia, who usually drives the Safety Car in Formula e, and Dr Bruno Franceschini, federal medical delegate.
