The FIA has decided

This time it's there, we know the lucky ones. The FIA put an end to the suspense on Friday noon by revealing the list of teams expected to participate in the World Championship in 2010. Among them we finally find all the teams in the field, namely Ferrari, McLaren, Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Williams, Force India, BMW, Renault, Toyota et Brawn GP ainsi que trois nouvelles équipes qui font leur apparition. Il s?agit d?US F1 dont la présence ne faisait plus aucun doute, Campos Grand Prix et Manor Grand Prix. La première équipe sera dirigée par Ken Anderson et Peter Windsor, ancien team manager de Williams. Campos GP sera dirigé par l?ancien pilote de Formula 1 Adrian Campos, while the Manor GP team is headed by John Booth, the team director of F3 Euro Series of the same name and Nick Wirth, a former team director.

As for the teams already present this season, five of them have yet to find an arrangement with the FIA since they have maintained their commitment conditionally. These are McLaren, Renault, BMW, Toyota and Brawn GP. In the press release published by the FIA, it is mentioned that these teams must find a compromise with the body led by Max Mosley before June 19. The commitment of Ferrari and the two Red Bull entities is also conditional. According to the FIA, these teams are automatically entered because they have signed long-term commitments with the FIA and FOM. But the three teams concerned (Ferrari, Red Bull and Toro Rosso) should not dissociate themselves from FOTA and will certainly react promptly to this publication.

However, there is no mention of the capped budget. The FIA suggests that it is, however, allowing itself the possibility of integrating new teams if no solution is found with the teams which have submitted their entry conditionally. The discussions therefore do not seem to be completely over.

Here is the list of teams:

Ferrari
Toro Rosso
Red Bull
Williams
Force India
Campos Grand Prix
Manor Grand Prix
Team US F1
McLaren Mercedes*
BMW*
renault*
Toyota*
Brawn GP*

*These five teams submitted their entry conditionally. The FIA invites them to withdraw these conditions during further discussions which must be concluded no later than Friday June 19.
