Force India will not carry out the first winter tests in Jerez with the VJM08 which will nevertheless be presented on January 21.

Force India VJM08 absent at Jerez?

According to Auto Motor und Sport, Force India will not participate in the winter testing in Jerez (Spain) from February 1 to 4 with the new VJM08. If the Indian team will present its new livery tomorrow, Wednesday January 21, the car would just be an updated 2014 version.

Force India reportedly plans to participate in the first test session of the 2015 season with the VJM07 of last season before starting his younger sister during the following session scheduled for February 19 to 22 in Barcelona (Spain).

The German newspaper claims that Vijay Mallya's team fell behind schedule following a change of wind tunnel from its facilities to Brackley (Grande-Bretagne) à celles de Toyota à Cologne (Allemagne). Ce nouvel équipement aurait permis de détecter a weakness in aerodynamics recurring on Indian cars in recent seasons.

Force India will retain Sergio Pérez and Nico Hulkenberg this season. The Indian team finished in sixth place in the Manufacturers' Championship last year.
