La Formula 1 enjoys the Enzo e Dino circuit Ferrari from Imola. The discipline will return to the Italian track for the next five years thanks to a new multi-year contract signed between Liberty Media and the President of the Automobile Club of Italy (ACI), Sticchi Damiani, this Monday March 7.
Forgotten for 13 years while F1 wanted to open up to emerging markets, Imola made a refreshing return in the fall of 2020 thanks to travel restrictions linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

In spring 2021, Imola, which now hosts the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix and no longer the San Marino Grand Prix as in the last century, was the scene of a particularly lively race, marked by accidents, a downpour , and a fight between Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull), to the advantage of the Dutchman.
“After two experimental editions, Imola aims to once again become a regular meeting of the Formula 1 world championship », Greeted Stefano Bonaccini, the president of Emilia-Romagna.
