FOTA welcomes Jean Todt

FOTA, without knowing what Jean Todt's presidency will be like, cannot regret the election of Max Mosley's successor. After having fought close battles with the Briton, in particular concerning the budgetary ceiling of the teams, FOTA welcomes Jean Todt with more reasons for hope on the future of the F1.

Luca di Montezemolo, president of FOTA but also of Ferrari, where Jean Todt was sporting director for fifteen years, expressed his joy at seeing the Frenchman ascend to the presidency of the FIA. “ I extend my warmest wishes to Jean Todt in his new role, having always appreciated his competence, his dedication and his commitment. I am sure that, under his leadership, the Federation will be refreshed, that it will restore a climate of openness and dialogue, and that it will be able to establish constructive collaboration with the teams and FOTA, thus ensuring the stability of the regulations. »
