FOTA wants to improve the show

After the agreement reached last week between the FIA and FOTA (the teams' association), the latter met in Bologna to discuss the contours of the discipline in the years to come. Thus, Flavio Briatore, already responsible for commercial matters within the entity, will be entrusted with a new role. “ Flavio will work with commercial rights holders to improve the spectacle and interest of the sport », declared Luca di Montezemolo, the president of FOTA.

This desire to improve the show is going in the right direction. It will respond to the wishes of fans which have not always been listened to in recent years. “ As you know, FOTA carried out a very interesting survey to understand what fans were expecting ", said Martin Whitmarsh, director of McLaren, who are " but none of the proposals we submitted afterwards were accepted [by the FIA]. We must continue to work. It is by listening to the wishes of the spectators and making sure to respond to them that we improve the show and the information provided. He concluded.
