2019 Monaco GP starting grid updated after penalties

This is becoming a habit in this first part of the 2019 season, the Mercedes monopolize the first row of the starting grid. This Sunday in Monaco, Lewis Hamilton will start in front of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

On a historically pleasant route for Red Bull, Max Verstappen has a good card to interfere in the fight for the first places. The Dutchman will have at his side the Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel, into the wall on Saturday morning and against the rail twice during qualifying.

Kevin Magnussen (Haas) is “the best of the rest” with its fifth location. As for Daniel Ricciardo, he offers to Renault his best qualifying result this year (sixth).

Once is not customary, both Toro Rosso reached the top 10, with Daniil Kyat seventh and Alexander albon a convincing 10th. Penalized by three places due to a blockage against Romain Grosjean (Haas, 13th) at the end of Q2, Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) will start eighth. Same fault and same punishment for Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo, 18th).

For its 300th Grand Prix (but not his 300th start, as we explained to you on Saturday), Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) will have a lot to do from 14th place. However, it is better than Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) relegated to 15th place after poor tactics from his team in Q1.
