The starting grid for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

For the last race of the season, we find an orderly starting grid in Abu Dhabi, like the 2022 financial year. Red BullTwo FerrariTwo Mercedes : the hierarchy in the championship is respected. Max Verstappen, 2022 world champion, will lead the pack at the start on the Yas Marina circuit, after obtaining his 7th pole of the season. The Dutchman will be accompanied by his teammate on the front row, Sergio Pérez, in the fight for the honorary title of vice-world champion. His main rival, Charles Leclerc, will start just behind him in 3rd place. 

Carlos Sainz will also be alongside his teammate on the 2nd line. The two Mercedes will occupy the 3rd row with Lewis Hamilton 5th and George Russell 6th, ahead of the first McLaren de Lando Norris. The Briton will start in front of the two Alpine byEsteban Ocon (8th) and Fernando Alonso (10th) to try to obtain big points for his team, in the fight for 4th place. Sebastian Vettel will start from 9th place for his last Grand Prix in Formula 1.

Daniel Ricciardo, who could also experience his last appearance in F1, will start 13th. The Australian, qualified in 10th place, was demoted 3 positions after application of his penalty following his collision with Magnussen in Brazil. The McLaren driver will start just behind Mick Schumacher, 12th for his final Grand Prix with Haas. Pierre Gasly, trapped in Q1 on Saturday, will start in 17th place for his last race with Alpha Tauri.

The start of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be given at 14:00 p.m. (French time) and will be followed in live text, on AUTOhebdo.
