La Formula 1 is back on this day of the first Grand Prix of the 2023 season! For the opening round of the championship, contested on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, it is the reigning double world champion, Max Verstappen, who will start in pole position, leading a 100% front row Red Bull. His teammate Sergio Pérez will start alongside him.

The 2nd row is all red, with the two single-seaters of the Team Ferrari. Charles Leclerc will start from 3rd position but with a new set of soft tires, ahead Carlos Sainz. The man who caused so much talk this weekend, Fernando Alonso, will start from 5th place aboard his Aston Martin. Watch out for the Spaniard who displayed an impressive race pace during Free Practice.

Both Mercedes by George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are taken in an Aston Martin “sandwich”, since Lance stroll qualified in 8th position behind the two Silver Arrows, despite still having pain in his wrist.

The first Frenchman and therefore the first Alpine on the grid is that ofEsteban Ocon, 9th at the end of qualifying. The Norman will rush before the surprising Nico Hulkenberg, 10th for his return to F1. However, the task promises to be very complicated for Pierre Gasly, who will start from last place after failed qualifying and a canceled lap at the end of the session.

The start of the Bahrain Grand Prix will be given at 16:00 p.m. (French time) and will be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo.
