The starting grid for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix

La Formula 1 is back in Las Vegas, for a second Grand Prix contested in the streets of the city of Nevada. The circuit notably follows the famous "Strip", the main artery of Las Vegas, where many hotels, restaurants and the unmissable casinos are concentrated, in which one continues to gamble even with Formula 1 cars passing at more than 320 km/h!

George Russell took pole position, driving a Mercedes particularly in shape in “Sin City”. Carlos Sainz completes the first line in front of a surprising Pierre Gasly, third at the wheel of his Alpine. He shares the second line with Charles Leclerc. The two leaders of the championship, Max Verstappen et Lando Norris, are in fifth and sixth place. The Dutchman can win the world crown this Sunday morning.

Yuki tsunoda, Oscar piastri, Nico Hulkenberg et Lewis Hamilton completed the top 10. The Briton was unable to rise to the same level as his teammate, due to two errors during his two fast laps in Q3. Esteban Ocon, eleventh, adds to the fine collective effort ofAlpine, and he will rush with Kevin Magnussen by his side.

Guanyu-Zhou put in a good performance with thirteenth place, ahead of Franco Colapinto. Injured in Q2, the Argentinian was given the green light by the doctors to participate in the Grand Prix, but he will start from the pits. Liam Lawson therefore recovers 14th place on the grid ahead of Sergio Pérez, Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon et Lance stroll. Penalized five places on the grid, Valtteri Bottas closes the march.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix starts at 7am French time this Sunday, it will then be 22pm and it will still be Saturday in the United States!
