For the first qualifying session in Miami this Saturday, it's the Team Ferrari which shone, with the pole position of Charles Leclerc, his 3rd of the season and the 13th of his career. On the starting grid, the Monegasque driver is ahead Carlos Sainz and above all, the Ferrari drivers will start in front of both Red Bull thanks to two final perfect flying laps at the very end of Q3.

The Red Bulls nevertheless had the potential and the performance to finish first in Qualifying, but Max Verstappen made a mistake on the last lap and was unable to improve his time. In Miami, it is Valtteri Bottas who signs the honorable mention of the session. With his Alfa Romeo, the Finn finished 5th just ahead of his former teammate Lewis Hamilton who still had a lot of trouble getting to Q3. Pierre Gasly achieves his best performance of the season in Qualifying with the 7th time ahead Lando Norris (8e) Yuki tsunoda (9e) and Lance stroll (10e).

The difficulties of Mercedes with the W13 were not limited to Lewis Hamilton. George Russell failed to reach Q3 this Saturday and finished in 12th place just ahead Sebastian Vettel (13th) and behind theAlpine de Fernando Alonso (11th). The French team did not shine in Miami just like Haas which unlike the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, does not place any car in Q3 and will have to settle for 15th place Mick Schumacher and 16th place in Kevin Magnussen.

Suffering with his MCL36, Daniel Ricciardo (14th) once again suffers from the comparison with Lando Norris and will have to be wary of Guanyu-Zhou (17th) who stopped in Q1, but who was unable to complete his last flying lap due to traffic on the track. Both Williams bring up the rear, but that's good Esteban Ocon who will start in last position after his withdrawal from qualifying due to a cracked chassis during his crash in Free Practice 3.
