The starting grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix

If the first two rows of the starting grid of the Brazilian Grand Prix remain in line with the qualifying result with the pole position of Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) in front Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), and a second line composed of Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull), the rest of the ranking evolved after the various penalties.

Fifth yesterday, Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) was penalized ten places for changing MGU-H, and will ultimately start from 14th place. Sergio Pérez (Force India) will therefore start on the third row alongside Fernando Alonso (McLaren).

The last two lines will be made up of the other drivers sanctioned as Lance stroll (Williams), which fell five places after replacing its gearbox, Brendon Hartley (Toro Rosso), penalized ten places for changing MGU-H and Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso), who was down 25 places for several MGU-H and turbo changes.

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), injured yesterday in qualifying in Q1, was authorized to start the race, but will finally start from the pit lane after the installation of a new thermal engine, a new turbo and a new MGU-H on the Power Unit of its W08 and a new gearbox.

Marcus Ericsson (Sauber) will be able to count on a new gearbox on his car, and will therefore start from 17th place.
