Tenth round of the 2025 season of Formula 1, the Canadian Grand Prix takes place this Sunday evening in Montreal, on the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit. After his performance this Saturday, it is George Russell who will start from pole position. The British driver Mercedes will be accompanied on the front line by Max Verstappen (Red Bull) for a departure that promises to be lively.
The second row of the Canadian Grand Prix will be composed ofOscar piastri (McLaren) and Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes). Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) will form the third line. Lando Norris (McLaren) will only start seventh, ahead of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Alex Albon (Williams) and Franco Colapinto (Alpine) will start in the top 10.
On the French side, Isack Hadjar will start from 12th place after receiving three penalty places for obstructing Carlos Sainz in Q1. Esteban Ocon (Haas) will be positioned in 14th place on the grid. Last in qualifying, Pierre Gasly (Alpine) will start 19th since Yuki tsunoda must serve a ten-place penalty for overtaking under a red flag during Free Practice 3.

The "only permanent contract on the grid, unwittingly and willingly," is at the top of his game for his return and for his national Grand Prix. That said, when you look at the gaps on the grid, the end of this regulation is a good thing, let's hope it remains the same in 2026
