The starting grid for the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix

Like last week in Las Vegas, it is George Russell who will start at the head of the starting grid in Qatar, but this time the Briton set the second best time in qualifying. Max Verstappen, author of the pole position, was in fact penalized by one place, and will therefore start second. McLaren monopolize the second line, Lando Norris before Oscar piastri, while the two future teammates from Ferrari, Charles Leclerc et Lewis Hamilton, will start fifth and sixth.

The fourth line will be 100% Spanish, Carlos Sainz et Fernando Alonso ahead of Sergio Perez, back in Q3, and Kevin Magnussen, qualified tenth. Pierre Gasly will start eleventh in front Guanyu-Zhou et Valtteri Bottas, which confirm Sauber's best form at the end of the season. Yuki tsunoda completes the seventh line of the grid. Lance stroll et Alexander albon will start in the eighth row, ahead of Liam Lawson and Nico Hulkenberg, eliminated from the Q1 phase. Franco Colapinto and Esteban Ocon finish this grid, with the nineteenth and twentieth chronos.
