What were you doing at 18? Andrea Kimi Antonelli, for his part, will start from pole position in the Sprint race of the Miami GP. If it is not a first pole position strictly speaking, since it will not count in the statistics of the F1, it remains nevertheless an incredible performance from the Italian who continues to break records of precocity in the discipline. For the first time in his very young career in the premier category, the driver Mercedes will start from first place this Saturday (18:00 p.m. French time) for the second Sprint of the season.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli also achieved the feat of beating both McLaren, those ofOscar piastri and Lando Norris, who will have to settle for 2nd and 3rd places on the starting grid of the Sprint in Florida. Max Verstappen, a young father, will start on the second row alongside his British friend (and rival). The second Mercedes, that of George Russell, will "only" start from 5th place: the Englishman missed the boat during the Sprint Qualifying by only completing one flying lap at the start of SQ3.
Behind the Top 5, we will find the two Ferrari de Charles Leclerc et Lewis Hamilton, behind their direct rivals this weekend. On the French side, Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) was the only one to interfere in SQ3 on Friday and will start in 9th place, whileEsteban Ocon (Haas) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine) will start almost side by side, respectively in 12th and 13th position on the grid.
