The Hungarian GP grid

The starting grid for the Hungarian GP is now established by application of the 3 place penalty imposed on Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo).

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) will have the privilege of starting from pole on the Hungarian turnstile where overtaking is known to be difficult. The Dutchman will be chased by the Mercedes de Valtteri Bottas et Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari de Charles Leclerc et Sebastian Vettel.

Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) will do its best to improve its 6th place. His compatriot Romain Grosjean (Haas) will start from 9th place behind the McLaren de Lando Norris et Carlos Sainz Jr.

Renault announced this morning the replacement of the Power Unit on Daniel Ricciardo's R.S.19. The Australian only 18th will start from last place.
