The Jules Bianchi Society launched

Almost ten months after the death of the young French driver following his injuries following his tragic Suzuka accident in October 2014, the family of the Nice native confirmed the launch of the Jules Bianchi Society.

As Philippe Bianchi told us last December (see Ah n°2043), the aim of this association, created last April 9 in Monaco, will be to support the F1 the young talents of karting, spotted between 8 and 13 years old.

“My son, Jules, left too soon without being able to accomplish the goals he had set for himself. Today, it is my duty to continue to bring it to life through these actions. Fighting the absolute reality of his disappearance via Jules Bianchi Society is for me the most beautiful mission, the most beautiful proof of love. I am sure that, from where he is, he is proud to have given his name, his colors, his values to this association. » explains Philippe Bianchi, honorary president of the association.

Here is the detailed program:

• Engage at least 4 drivers in international karting competitions.

• The selection concerns juniors aged 8 to 13 in 2 “Mini kart” categories and 2 “OK Junior” categories.

• The cost of the program including 10 races per year with tests amounts to €100/year per driver (World and European Championships, WSK, among others).

• The program is planned over 3 years, renewable. At the end of this cycle, the association will support the best drivers towards the most renowned motorsport sectors thanks to an extensive network of contacts.

• The rest of the funds raised will occasionally help other pilots requiring support.

Donations can also be made to support the initiative.
