While McLaren MP4-30 made its first laps at Jerez (Spain) with a livery similar to previous seasons, it seems that the single-seaters of Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button are brought to evolve in terms of their decorations during the year.
Ron Dennis, President of McLaren Technology Group, indicated in the Jerez paddock that the livery of the MP4-30 was not final. “Our 2015 livery will change, but I won’t tell you when…”
McLaren-Honda could adopt its legendary red and white livery or the orange color formerly adopted by the British team. Ron Dennis in any case eliminated the possibility that it would be determined based on a title partner, citing the excessively large budgets for such support.
The MP4-30 was not very visible during the first day of testing in Jerez due to mechanical problems. Fernando Alonso will have completed only six laps at the wheel at the end of the first session.
