As I had 3rd and the other gears, I thought I could go around like that, but at the first corner I lost everything! I could have been even more on the pace with more laps. It was tight with the other cars behind Mercedes and I think we could have aimed for third place. »

A third place won by his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. As for the problem with the gearbox, no explanation has yet come from the Austrian team. “We will see if it is a software or mechanical problem”, explained Team Principal Christian Horner. At the time of writing, no official information has been received from the FIA ​​or the Red Bull team on a possible change of gearbox which would imply a penalty of five places on the grid tomorrow.
