McLaren has already encountered a significant mechanical problem on the MCL32 which should put an end to the Woking team's day of testing.

The McLaren MCL32 already at a standstill

Fernando Alonso was only able to complete one lap this morning in Barcelona where winter testing began. McLaren detected an oil problem requiring several hours of repair on the Honda engine. The Woking team is not even sure that it will be able to return to the track today.

“We had an oil problem that requires a full inspection. We hope to get back on track today, but we need several hours to sort out the problem.”, confirmed a team spokesperson.

Red Bull and Haas F1 Team also encountered mechanical problems. The RB13 of Daniel Ricciardo stopped due to sensor failure, while Kevin Magnussen found himself stopped in the pit lane.
