The end of the journey for Daniel Ricciardo ? The 35-year-old driver was told that his adventure with the Racing Bulls team was over before the end of the 2024 season. Formula 1He will be replaced from the United States Grand Prix in Austin (Texas) by Liam Lawson.

« I have loved this sport all my life, Daniel Ricciardo reacted on his Instagram account. It's been an incredible and wonderful journey. To the teams and individuals who have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love this sport sometimes more than I do, haha, thank you. There will always be ups and downs, but it's fun and, honestly, I wouldn't change it. Until the next adventure. »

A next adventure away from Formula 1? It is very likely, since the last vacant seat for the 2025 season at Sauber/Audi should go to another driver. The Australian also said before his ouster that a reserve role in the short and medium term did not interest him. Obviously last year it made sense to keep a foot in the door because the overall goal was to try to get back to Red bull But I think that if I had to start again, it wouldn't do much good: I'm not going to relaunch my career. »

Already back in the middle of the 2023 season after a first setback in his career at the end of 2022, Daniel Ricciardo should remain at 257 Grand Prix starts in Formula 1, the last at the Singapore Grand Prix last Sunday. His first race in F1 was the 2011 British Grand Prix with HRT. Between the two, he took eight victories, three pole positions and 32 podiums.

The Ridiculous Bulls 2024 looks more and more like a trestle as the season progresses!! Lawson's only goal: to be ahead of Tsunoda, which he managed to do at the end of the 2023 season... and he will have to confirm! Otherwise, he will have only made a brief passage in the Red Bull galaxy

Daniel Ricciardo is the collateral victim of the Marko/Horner and Red Bull Austria/Thailand war. DR has been ahead of Tsunoda clocks for the last 3 races. It's the Vcarb that is bad and not the drivers, in sharp decline compared to last year. DR will be missed, a real nice guy and the track record shows it. Lauson will have to get used to the back of the grid.
