At the end of a particularly competitive season which saw Sebastian's third title in as many years, F1 takes stock. After sport, now it's time for numbers and other statistics.

The 2012 season in figures

Let's start with the tires, with no less than 23 frames used, 500 slicks and 21 rain tires. For the former, the average lifespan was 400 km, while wet tires wore out faster, with an average of 2 km. Furthermore, over the entire season, 100 pit stops were made. Soft tires were the most used in 180.

As for the drivers, 13 of them led a race, with, in the order of laps covered, first place Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton et Fernando Alonso. For his part, Kimi Raïkkönen is the only one to have completed all the races this season. For manufacturers, it is Red Bull who dominated the most in the race, leading in front McLaren et Ferrari.
