La Team officially launched its season, on this Valentine's Day, by revealing to the whole world the machine that will make fans' hearts beat in 2023.

After naming his 2020 mount “SF1000” to celebrate his 1000th Grand Prix in the premier category, then “ F1-75 » last year to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the brand, Ferrari returns to its usual name with SF-23.

From the Fiorano circuit, in front of a grandstand full of fans, the Scuderia unveiled its SF-23 in the presence of Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Frédéric Vasseur. The Italian team also gave a little surprise to the supporters present on site, and to the spectators present in front of their screens by broadcasting the shakedown from the Fiorano circuit!

La car greatly resembles that of 2022, both in terms of the livery and the bodywork itself, with the concept of bathtub-shaped pontoons still unchanged.

We can still see a few areas where the carbon has been left bare, notably on the lower area of the front of the chassis and on the engine cover, with the obvious aim of saving weight. On the rear wing, the Velas sponsor has been replaced by a large white Ferrari lettering.

After a 2022 season which allowed it to re-invite itself to the forefront with 12 pole positions and 4 victories, Ferrari this time intends to fight for the title until the end of the season, by drastically reducing reliability concerns and shortcomings. operational which cost him so many points.

For this, the management of the brand decided to replace Mattia Binotto, at the helm since 2019, with the Frenchman Frédéric Vasseur, who became the first foreign team principal of the Scuderia since… Jean Todt in 2007, the last man to have triumphed in the Italian stable.

Among Ferrari's strengths, the driver duo clearly meets expectations. If Charles Leclerc, the darling of fans, finished vice-world champion and signed the most pole positions in 2022 (9), Carlos Sainz also played his role by unlocking his counter in Formula 1 during the Grand Prix de Grande- Brittany and allowing Ferrari to beat Mercedes by finishing 2nd in the Manufacturers' championship.
