The simplest strategy for teams in 2020?

Unanimous, the teams F1 decided not to trust the products Pirelli 2020, thus retaining well-known rubbers, used throughout the entire 2019 campaign.

A choice which should allow teams to define in a simpler way the different strategies in races according to Pirelli. “We know that teams are focusing on one-stop strategies as much as possible, admits Mario Isola, head of Pirelli Motorsport, quoted by Reuters.

They also have good data from 2019, so it will probably be a little easier for teams to strategize »

The Italian admits, however, that keeping the tires from the previous season could take a little spice away from the 2020 events. The only downside I can see is that we eliminate a bit of unpredictability, continues Isola.

We see that whenever there is something that the engineers can't predict, we have better races...so without the element of tires, we eliminate a little unpredictability »

Mario Isola recently admitted that there was no no technical disadvantage in remaining on the 2019 specification of its products.
