Mercedes F1 could lose several tenths per lap following the abandonment of FRIC (interconnected suspension systems) which was banned by the FIA before the German Grand Prix. The Brackley team would have developed one of the most efficient systems on the field and could thus be one of the main victims of this decision. Nevertheless, the Silver Arrows team remains the best contender to win at Hockenheim.
Lewis Hamilton does not show itself to be concerned about the performance of its car, the teams having already been able to adapt to these changes by participating in the Silverstone tests. “I don’t think it changes much. We may lose time this weekend, but everyone will lose performance if all teams have to take it off. We will all have to adapt the settings significantly next year. But we should have a good starting point with the simulator. »
