New year and already extra-sporting problems for Christian Horner? Everything suggests that the team principal of Red Bull has not finished with the affair dating from 2024. As a reminder, he was the target of a complaint last year from his personal assistant for inappropriate behavior, including messages of a sexual nature.
This had led to a long procedure and especially an internal investigation at the end of which the manager had been cleared before the complainant was in turn suspended by Red Bull. Following this episode, the assistant who had made the accusations had decided to appeal in addition to filing a complaint, this time with the FIA Ethics Committee.
For almost a year, the deal had been almost sealed but everything suggests that Christian Horner will start this 2025 season with a few odds and ends in his legs. Indeed, Dutch daily De Telegraaf reports that the complainant has decided to take her case against her former boss to the Employment Tribunal in the UK. A hearing is now scheduled for January 2026.
Further revelations indicate that the British media have been banned from covering the case for almost a year. This is due to a Reporting Restriction Order (RRO), which could be described as a restriction of treatment order in French, imposed by the courts at the request of the Christian Horner clan and until the trial.
