F1 technical analysis – The sidepods of the Mercedes W13

The concept of the pontoons Mercedes, one of the remarkable developments of the Bahrain tests, is interesting for several reasons. The engineers really managed to make intelligent use of the regulations in the air intake area of the pontoons. Between the first tests in Barcelona and those in Bahrain, only the design of the pontoons evolved, because in my opinion, the technical solution chosen was already in place in Spain... but well hidden.
