Lando Norris impressed McLaren

Champion Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Formule Renault 2.0 NEC et Toyota Racing Series en 2016, Lando Norris had a perfect 2016 season, before taking the next step in F3 at the end of the year, including participation in the Macau Grand Prix.

Competing full-time in the European F3 Championship this year with the Carlin team, the Briton was able to slip behind the wheel of a car for the first time. F1 this week during the second day of private testing in Budapest, Hungary.

Now covered by McLaren, the 17-year-old driver had a faultless day with 91 laps completed with the Honda-powered MCL32. He had to acclimatize very quickly in the car for his first outing in the MCL32.I am happy to say that it was a very productive and useful day for McLaren Honda and Lando Norris. The team used the extra track time to try out new parts for the chassis, and we tested new elements on our Power Unit.
