Championship leader Lando Norris missed the opportunity to put himself in the best position to win his second consecutive Grand Prix by setting only the third fastest time in qualifying for China. His Olympian calm, his composure and his lack of reaction when he learned that he had just signed his first pole position in Formula 1 : Oscar piastri is a unique character, with a hint of Kimi Raikkonen, the iceman who also didn't let much show. The Australian's character can harm his popularity with some fans, but can above all be a real strength and an asset to convince McLaren that he is indeed the driver they need to regain the Drivers' title.

Especially since on the other side of the garage, Lando Norris struggles to fully assert himself as the undisputed number one. The speed of the Briton is undeniable

While Piastri may prove to be Norris's biggest rival in the championship, for now, all Norris needs to do is finish on the podium, even behind him, to stay ahead of the standings. A title is about having more points than the others at the end, and knowing how to be just behind your opponent when you can't win. But it's Verstappen who can pull off the burgeoning rivalry between McLaren drivers. The answer will begin tomorrow.

Liam Lawson already in danger... Verstappen came to his rescue by saying that the RB21 is really very complicated to drive and that Lawson would be much faster at the wheel of a Ridiculous Bulls!!
