Latifi “would benefit from looking more in her rear view mirrors” said Zhou ironically in Singapore

Nicholas latifi although he was notified that he would leave Williams and F1 at the end of the season, this did not prevent him from continuing his exploits in Singapore. The Canadian, judged responsible by the race management for a collision with Guanyu-Zhou, had to retire at the start of the Grand Prix. 

While it was only the 7th round, Latifi actually hit the Chinese while completely ignoring the presence of theAlfa Romeo as the two men approached turn 3. A situation which had the gift of putting both drivers offside, which Guanyu Zhou obviously regretted, who was nevertheless happy to celebrate his contract extension with Alfa Romeo on the track .

“The lap before already, he came close to putting me in the wall at turn 8, commented Zhou after the race. Then this lap he went wide in turn three, he was defending in turns 4 and 5, then I was like "Okay, I'm going to go to the outside." We were side by side, then I saw that he was heading completely to the left, towards me. I was stuck with the wall to my left… It was a bit pointless considering it was only the fifth lap of the race.”
