Massa's future will depend on Williams'

With 13 seasons in F1 on the clock, Felipe Massa is one of the oldest drivers on the starting grids. The Brazilian who made his debut in the discipline at the 2002 Australian GP with Sauber plans to take stock in 2016 at the time his contract with Williams will end.

“This will be the most important season to know if I continue or not”, admitted the former resident of the Team Ferrari on UOL Esporte. “I will stay if I have the chance to be in a competitive team, otherwise I will stop. I will continue to evolve in F1 if I am with a team like Williams where I am very happy and where they are also very happy to have me. It's a good motivation to love what you do and to feel appreciated. »

At 34, Felipe Massa made it clear that he currently has no apprehension about retiring from F1. “I don't think I'll be afraid to stop, it should be fine. I know that everyone has to retire at some point, but I don’t think that’s the case yet”, added the Brazilian.
