Vettel's record (to date) at Ferrari

14 victories, 12 poles, two vice-world championship titles in 2017 and 2018. The results, to date, of Sebastian Vettel with the Team Ferrari recalls that the four-time world champion has positioned himself as the strong man of Maranello since his arrival in Italy at the end of 2014.

After a dominant era between 2010 and 2013 with the team Red Bull - Renault, Vettel had decided to take on the great Ferrari challenge in 2015, on the tracks of his model Michael Schumacher and to replace Fernando Alonso, which had failed to be titled in Italy.

Yet a delicate period for the Italian team, in difficulty facing Mercedes at the time of the transition to the Power Unit V6 turbo / hybrid.

However, we don't have to wait long to see Vettel climb to the top of the podium in Malaysia. Two others will follow in Hungary and Singapore, and the German, very consistent for his first campaign in red, finished 3rd in the championship.

After a difficult season in 2016 (no victory, no pole), 2017 and 2018 saw Vettel appear capable of overthrowing the sovereign Lewis Hamilton. But each time, the second part of the season ruins the hopes of the German driver, like in 2018 with this error at home in Hockenheim.

Last year, Vettel had to deal with the arrival at Maranello of Charles Leclerc, who will get the better of his elder brother throughout the championship, Vettel finishing 5th at the end of the season, his worst result since his last year at Red Bull in 2014.

His last success dates back to the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix.

Although he was never able to win in red at Monza, Sebastian Vettel nevertheless allowed Scuderia Ferrari to return to success in the Principality in 2017, a first since Michael Schumacher's victory in 2001.

Vettel and Ferrari will therefore have one last season in 2020 to write a final page in their shared history.
