This time neither Lewis Hamilton, neither Fernando Alonso, his friends and best enemies of all time, did not have the opportunity to enter the dance, the last of Sebastian Vettel. The three men dreamed of a remake of 2018, when they celebrated Alonso's real-fake retirement right here in Yas Marina with some memorable donuts. Due to pilot withdrawals Mercedes et Alpine, “Seb” was not accompanied by these two champions, but by Verstappen, Pérez and Leclerc. Standing on the left front wheel of his Aston Martin AMR22 flanked by his famous No. 5, Seb greeted, with tears in his eyes, the spectators who were screaming at the top of their lungs. The atmosphere was hybrid, minds navigating between the happiness of experiencing a unique moment and the sadness of knowing that it was a farewell.
