Lewis Hamilton experienced one of its worst seasons Formula 1 in 2022, but the pilot Mercedes do not leave the gala of the FIA, organized in Bologna (Italy) this Friday, December 9. The seven-time world champion was awarded the Action of the Year award following a vote by Internet users.

The record holder for victories in F1 was the author of an opportunistic double overtaking on Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) during the British Grand Prix on the Silverstone track last July. What the extract published by the FIA does not show is the continuation of the three-way fight during the following lap, where the Red Bull then the Ferrari passed again in front of the Silver Arrow:

Logical... it was a tower like we would like to see much more often in F1! Bravo Sir Hamilton, an overtaking worthy of a real racer
