Dr. Marko considers Mercedes favored

Dr. Helmut Marko, advisor at Red Bull, believes that the change in thickness of the tire tread reduced by 0,4mm from the Spanish GP was made in order to benefit Mercedes.

“The tires were modified at the request of Mercedes. We can do that when we are both a team and a manufacturer. We make energy drinks. We obviously cannot have as much influence as a manufacturer”, indicated Dr. Helmut Marko in Bild.
