The Qatar Grand Prix confirmed for this end of the year, that of Miami introduced for the 2022 season... The calendar of the Formula 1 knows some adjustments. On the same theme, its president Stefano Domenicali spoke on the Sky Sport website. The Italian leader revealed several details about the next season, announcing that the sprint races will cover a third of the calendar, or seven or eight weekends. “We said at the start of the year that there would be three tests this year (GP of Great Britain, Italy and Brazil Editor’s note), and the vast majority of feedback we received was super positive. The promoters are super happy because there is something new on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I can say that we will not go everywhere with the sprint race format. It’s something we want to keep for a third of the races.”.
Stefano Domenicali also clarified the outlines of the calendar for the next season. F1 is scheduled to take place from mid-March to mid-November, starting in Bahrain and finishing in Abu Dhabi and 23 events will be on the program. “I can tell you that the calendar will be completed with 23 Grands Prix. Another thing I can tell you, without giving too much away, is that next year the season will start in mid-March and end in mid-November. The idea is to ensure a correct racing pace. The full F1 calendar for the 2022 season is not expected to be revealed until October 15.
