The German GP absent from the 2019 calendar?

The future of the German GP seems in danger again. If the F1 will go to Hockenheim on the weekend of July 22, the Germanic meeting could disappear from the calendar in 2019.

The DPA news agency reported that the promoters of the Hockenheimring failed to reach an agreement with Liberty Media, the owners of the Championship.

“We are not surprised, but it is obviously regrettable, commented circuit director Georg Seiler. We had discussions with Liberty Media, but insisted we were only interested if the financial risk was minimal. We haven't been able to come up with a viable model, at least for the next season. »

The cut concerning the German GP could remain temporary, the promoters already working for 2020, while the race had already not been able to take place in 2015 and 2017.

“We will see if our ideas match those of F1 regarding the future”, explained Georg Seiler.
