No public at Imola. Given the evolution of the health crisis, the authorities have decided that the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix will take place behind closed doors this weekend. The announcement, less than a week before the meeting, will hurt the 13 spectators who had ordered their tickets.
Imola had in fact put in place a protocol which, according to it, could be suitable for any health situation. A pre-reservation system, control of entry and exit routes from the circuit... Were planned for a long time. The city and the circuit negotiated as much as possible to allow the arrival of at least some of the spectators, in vain.
After a start to the season played entirely behind closed doors, the F1 began to welcome the public from Monza where some 250 members of medical staff were allowed in the stands. A week later at Mugello, there were nearly 3 people for the 000th Grand Prix in the history of Ferrari.
In Sochi (Russia) at the end of September, nearly 30 fans filled the aisles of the autodrome every day. Enthusiasts were also allowed at the Nürburgring (Germany) and Portimão (Portugal), always in compliance with a fairly strict health protocol.
