Malaysian GP extended until 2018

The Malaysian GP will remain on the calendar of the F1 for the next three seasons. The organizers of the Asian event took advantage of the 17th edition to confirm the extension of his contract with the FOM until 2018. Oil company Petronas will remain the title sponsor of the Malaysian GP.

The organizers are also considering holding a night race even if the lighting installations require significant investments.

The Malaysian GP has been contested without interruption since 1999. With four victories, Sebastian Vettel is the biggest winner of this event.
