No, this is not a typo. The Australian Grand Prix has renewed its contract with the Formula 1 until 2037! In fact, Liberty Media and F1 granted an extension of “only” two additional years, since the first contract covered the period 2025-2035 signed in June 2022.

“Obtaining a 15-year extension for the Australian Grand Prix of Formula 1 in Melbourne is an exceptional result, said Andrew Westacott, CEO of AGPC. It brings so much benefit to our city, our economy and our exceptional events industry, not to mention the aspiration it provides for young Australians chasing their dreams in motorsport. »

This declaration therefore indicates that the future of the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne is secure. The work aimed at revitalizing a race that had become boring during the 2010s bore fruit, while other cities such as Sydney had positioned themselves to host the Australian Grand Prix.

The Australian Grand Prix should be played in front of a huge audience in 2023. In fact, most of the packages for sale on the official ticket office are out of stock more than 100 days before the event (March 30-April 2) .
