The French Grand Prix wants to attract young people

On the occasion of a press conference held by the Automobile Club de France, Estrosi came back on the next Grand Prix of France. The president of GIP intends to make this event a French and popular celebration.

« We want to make a popular French Grand Prix, explains the Mayor of Nice, and a French Grand Prix with a strong identity. That was really our state of mind in the regional community. This very French, very Mediterranean side, it’s important to have a driver like Esteban (Or with ed.) who embodies it."

In the presence ofEsteban Ocon, the youngest Frenchman to have scored points in Formula 1, Christian Estrosi insisted on his desire to attract young people to the next French Grand Prix.

« We want there to be a lot of young people. We are going to create a price list adapted to younger generations but we also want to involve them. We are going to launch a race commissioner competition in the neighborhoods of the region.

These young people who are crazy about cars and tell themselves that it is inaccessible can find themselves on the side of the track. If we know that we have a French pilot who will agree to share some time to encourage them to shine this light on these young people. »

For 3 years, the Belgian Grand Prix has installed a grandstand for young people between 17 and 27 years old at the Stavelot corner at reduced prices. The French Grand Prix could take inspiration from our neighbors to attract more young people to the Grand Prix.
