Traditions are lost at the Monaco Grand Prix. Stefano Domenicali, boss of the Formula 1, announced to CNN that the next weekend in the Principality would take place over 3 days and not 4. The former director of the Team Ferrari did not give specific reasons to explain this change.
Since 1950 and the appearance of the Monaco event on the calendar, free practice on Thursdays allowed many spectators to see Formula 1 cars roaming the streets of Monaco. The Monaco GP was often placed on the weekend of the climb, where Thursday is a public holiday. Friday being devoted to promotional formulas and Porsche Supercup. A free day for Formula 1 drivers, where they used to take autographs and photos with fans on the Place d'Armes, in the heart of the city.
A change to the weekend which should shake up the habits of all spectators.
