The Thai Grand Prix has a layout

The start line and paddock will take place at the Royal Navy shipyard. A route for the future Bangkok city circuit has just been proposed and approved by the country's authorities. It could host the first Grand Prix of Formula 1 in Thailand.

5,995 kilometers long, the planned track would pass through essential tourist sites in the Thai capital, such as the Royal Palace, the Victory Monument and “Wat Arun”, the temple of dawn. The future event should also be able to accommodate nearly 150 spectators, said Kanokphand Chulakasem, the country's minister in charge of Sports, then interviewed by the Bangkok Post. “The start and finish point is located towards the Chao Praya river, we should be able to build the main stands on the water. It would also be practical in terms of logistics and equipment transport?, he added. “Only a small group of residents will be affected by the proposed route”, further clarified Kanokphand Chulakasem.
