The Indian Grand Prix was supposed to be removed from the calendar F1 only for the 2014 season. But the Buddh International circuit no longer seems to be in the good books of the FOM management, as recently announced by Bernie Ecclestone. “At the moment, India is not on the calendar for next year. Probably in 2016.” These statements were not really surprising, as discipline was opposed to the Indian government regarding import taxes on equipment.

Despite these bad omens, the promoters of the event wish to meet Bernie Ecclestone in order to obtain a return of F1 to India next year. “I will soon meet Mr Ecclestone and address the matter directly.”, assured Sameer Gaur, the director of Jaypee, the promotion company, on Hindustan Times. “I would like the race to return next year but let’s wait and see what comes out of it. »
