The New Jersey Grand Prix moves a little further away

The second Grand Prix on American soil seems to be in trouble. While Leo Hindery Jr, who heads the organization of the race, thought he had raised the necessary sums, the big financier of the F1 Bernie Ecclestone admitted in an interview with Forbes that funds were still missing.

“Two or three investors that Leo had confirmed to me that they had an agreement with him, and that they would put the money on the table. If Leo had had the money, the race would have gone ahead,
declares the Briton. If someone comes up with the funds and does the job, I'll be happy. Leo does the best he can with what he has. He's trying to maintain the odds while hoping someone comes along. Everyone wanted a race in New York. The teams were dying to have such a race, so we tried to make it happen. »

The F1 calendar will already see the return of Mexico in 2015 and the arrival of Azerbaijan in 2016 for the European Grand Prix.
