Japan and Suzuka extend for three years

Liberty Media has confirmed the three-year extension of the contract for the Japanese Grand Prix, which will remain contested on the legendary Suzuka track.

Japan and Suzuka extend for three years

The 130R will still be on the menu for the World Championship F1 until the end of 2024. Liberty Media and Mobilityland, promoter of the Japanese Grand Prix, announced this Saturday morning that the Suzuka track will host the Japanese event for the next three years.

The track, which notably saw the legendary clashes for the world title between Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, or between Michael Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen, will therefore continue its rich history in F1, as has been the case since 1987.
