Alonso's manager confident for Malaysian GP

“Fernando will be in Malaysia”, assured Luis Garcia-Abad, the manager of pilot McLaren- Honda, in the Spanish press. The Spaniard is said to be fully recovered from his accident during winter testing in Barcelona (Spain), the circumstances of which still remain mysterious. “Fernando is fine and he will pass the tests, it will just be a formality”, added the manager in AS.

After quickly resuming physical activity, Fernando Alonso traveled to Woking this week to work on the McLaren simulator. The Asturian will have to be examined by doctors again to receive authorization to race the weekend of March 29 on the Sepang circuit.

Fernando Alonso was replaced at the Australian GP by Kevin Magnussen, but the Dane was unable to start due to a Power Unit failure.
