Paul-Ricard back in the race?

It’s at the pace of the single-seaters F1 2015 that Paul-Ricard lived for two days at the start of the week on the occasion Pirelli rain tire tests. A return of the queen discipline to French soil while the last edition of the French Grand Prix dates back to 2008 at Magny-Cours in Nièvre.

Although different projects have followed one another since then, Stéphane Clair, director of the Var route, remains confident. « Everything is possible, indicates the latter to AFP. We know that we can accommodate up to 50.000 people per day, that’s realistic.

This seems to us to be the right gauge for a French GP. It could be a match or each turn (in reference to a possible alternation with Magny-Cours, Editor’s note). We don't close any doors. »

You have to find a financial balance. Local authorities are working to raise a case, and the government is not putting the brakes on. We know that the benefits of an F1 GP would be 100 million, for 15 million of public money invested, so it is entirely profitable. »

A possibility that received this Thursday support from Christian Estrosi, president of the PACA region, during the General Assembly of the region's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
