Second meeting of this first triple headers of the season in F1 : the Bahrain GP, the venue for the fourth race of the championship in 2025. For the first time since 2019, the Sakhir circuit did not host the opening round of the season, a "luxury" reserved for Melbourne this year. The reason? The Ramadan period, which prompted the organizers and F1 to exceptionally postpone the Bahraini event to mid-April. Just one week after the Japanese GP, the twenty drivers and ten teams will already be back on track this weekend on the island of Bahrain.
The Sakhir circuit, introduced to the F1 calendar in 2004, has also been used for winter testing for many years. The ten teams and 20 drivers are therefore very familiar with this track, on which they were able to test their new cars during three days of testing. Sakhir has become a classic on the calendar over the years, regularly offering spectacular races, such as the duel Mercedes in 2014 or the confrontation between Max Verstappen et Charles Leclerc in 2022.
The circuit, 5,412 km long, has 15 corners, four straights and three DRS zones. Among the twenty current drivers, four won in Bahrain: Lewis Hamilton (2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2021), Fernando Alonso (2005, 2006, 2010), Charles Leclerc (2022) and the reigning winner, Max Verstappen (2023, 2024). The lap record, set by Pedro de la Rosa in 2005, still stands 20 years later at 1:31!

We hope that Sakhir will offer us a spectacular race on Sunday with the duel between the two McLaren boys, to which will perhaps be added Verstappen's Red Bull, the two Mercedes and the two Ferraris!
