After a short week of interruption, the F1 returns this weekend and flies to Florida for the Miami GP (May 2-4), the sixth round of the 2025 season. Featured on the calendar since 2022, the "Magic City" is hosting the championship for the fourth consecutive time and is the first of three American events of the year, along with Austin and Las Vegas. This year, Miami will host the second Sprint race of the season after the one held in China last March.

The Miami circuit winds around Hard Rock Stadium, the American football stadium home to the Miami Dolphins. The stadium also serves as a paddock where the hospitality facilities of the ten teams are located. The 5,412-kilometer-long Miami International Autodrome—as it is called—has 19 turns, including a low-speed section between turns 11 and 16, where the track passes under a freeway. Three DRS zones are present on the Florida circuit, each on the circuit's three straights.

Over the last three editions, two drivers have won the Miami GP: Max Verstappen (2022 and 2023) and Lando Norris (2024), who took his first Formula 1 victory here after taking advantage of a Safety Car placement error against the Dutch driver. The race lap record was set by Max Verstappen, who clocked a 1 in 29.

It's not a one-week, but a two-week break. The last one was on April 20th.

Another blunder? As far as I know, the GP starts at 22 p.m.!
